Unboxing: B+W UV-Pro Premium

Today, we are going to do an unboxing video of the B+W UV-Pro Premium fungal spore and bacteria killer. This will supposedly sterilize your lens by using UV light pulses to kill any germs on the surface of your camera’s sensor or lens. Watch the video and see what’s included in the package! Enjoy!

I am skeptical as to wether this little gadget works as advertised. It will probably be fine for the sensors but with lenses, the claim can be hard to believe because you have many layers of glass that will potentially filter the effectiveness of the UV rays. This is probably the reason why the UV diode oscillates to change the wavelength of the light emitted. Do not take my word for it, I’m not a scientist or expert in this field and this is just my small hypothesis. It does sound convincing anyway, don’t you think?

It feels very well-made but for some reasons, the packaging doesn’t match B+W’s current theme and made it feel more like a knock-off than the real thing. I also find it disturbing that the product isn’t prominently displayed in B+W’s website and bigger shops like B&H and Adorama doesn’t carry it all. As a consolation, I got this from Digitalrev in Hong Kong which is a respectable international dealer. Now, if this thing is proven to be bogus then I will be the first to complain about this thing.

Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this and hopefully got something out of this. This is not an endorsement of the product and was made for the sole purpose of entertaining you all! I really put my readers in high regard so I will never endorse anything sketchy. Thanks for reading along and do tell me what you guys think of this thing. Love, Ric.
